dṛṣṭaṃ trilocanātprācyāṃ narmadeśaṃ suśarmadam | talliṃgārcanato nṛṇāṃ garbhavāso niṣidhyate
在三眼神(Trilocana)之东,有名为那摩提沙(Narmadeśa)的林伽,赐予大安乐。礼敬此林伽,能制止众生再入胎藏之苦(再生轮回)。
Skanda (deduced: Kāśī Khaṇḍa context, Skanda to Agastya)
Tirtha: Narmadeśa Liṅga
Type: kshetra
Scene: An eastern shrine at sunrise; the liṅga radiates calm light; a devotee offers bilva and water; behind, a symbolic wheel of rebirth slows and dissolves, replaced by a serene lotus—signifying cessation of garbha-vāsa.
Kāśī’s shrines are framed as liberating: sincere worship can obstruct the cycle of rebirth symbolized as ‘womb-dwelling’.
Narmadeśa Liṅga, located to the east of the Trilocana shrine in Kāśī.
Liṅgārcana (ritual worship of the Liṅga) is prescribed as the means to prevent garbhavāsa (rebirth).
