समाः परार्धसंख्यातास्तत्र तप्तं महातपः । तत्र प्रत्यक्षतां यातो मम विश्वेश्वरः परः
samāḥ parārdhasaṃkhyātāstatra taptaṃ mahātapaḥ | tatra pratyakṣatāṃ yāto mama viśveśvaraḥ paraḥ
经由以“帕拉尔达”(parārdha)计数的漫长岁月,彼处修行了大苦行(tapas)。在那里,我超越的毗湿韦湿伐罗(Viśveśvara)亲自显现于前。
Skanda
Tirtha: Cakrapuṣkariṇī (contextual locus)
Type: kshetra
Scene: An ascetic landscape within Kāśī: sages or divine beings performing severe tapas by the water; time is symbolized by layered suns/moons. Viśveśvara appears in radiant form, emerging as a liṅga or luminous Śiva-presence, witnessed by devotees.
The holiness of a Kāśī site is grounded in tapas and culminates in Śiva’s pratyakṣa (direct) presence.
The Cakrapuṣkariṇī context is being exalted through the manifestation of Viśveśvara at that place.
The verse primarily gives a sacred-history (tīrtha-prādurbhāva) rather than a new ritual command; it implies worship seeking darśana.
