स्कंद उव ।च । द्रौपदादित्यमाहात्म्यं संक्षेपात्कथितं मया । मयूखादित्यमाहात्म्यं शृण्विदानीं घटोद्भव
skaṃda uva |ca | draupadādityamāhātmyaṃ saṃkṣepātkathitaṃ mayā | mayūkhādityamāhātmyaṃ śṛṇvidānīṃ ghaṭodbhava
斯坎达说道:“我已略述德劳帕达—阿底提耶之伟大。如今,听我再说摩由迦—阿底提耶之伟大吧,噢,罐生的阿迦斯提耶。”
Skanda
Tirtha: Mayūkha-Āditya (to be described)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Agastya (ghaṭodbhava)
Scene: Skanda as divine narrator addresses sage Agastya, announcing the completion of one māhātmya and inviting attention to the next—Mayūkha-Āditya—like a guide leading pilgrims from shrine to shrine.
Sacred geography is taught through successive māhātmyas; learning and transmitting tīrtha-glories is itself a dharmic act.
Kāśīkhaṇḍa’s broader landscape is the setting; the verse introduces the Mayūkha-Āditya focus within that sacred map.
Śravaṇa (listening) is directly enjoined—“hear now” the next māhātmya.
