श्रुतिस्मृतिविहीना ये शौचाचारविवर्जिताः । येषां क्वापि गतिर्नास्ति तेषां वाराणसी गतिः
śrutismṛtivihīnā ye śaucācāravivarjitāḥ | yeṣāṃ kvāpi gatirnāsti teṣāṃ vārāṇasī gatiḥ
那些失却《闻传》（Śruti）与《忆传》（Smṛti）之指引、缺乏清净与正行者——那些处处无所归依者：对他们而言，瓦拉纳西即是归依与依怙。
