Transliteration

karmaṇā yena keśāḥ syuḥ snigdhāḥ kusumavarṣiṇaḥ | nākāri karṇavedhosya janitrā samaye śubhe

Translation

（此仪式）能使发丝润泽光亮、如降花雨般吉祥可爱；然而他的父母并未在适当的吉时为他举行穿耳礼（karṇavedha）。
