तिथिनक्षत्रपर्वादि नापेक्ष्यं जाह्नवी जले । स्नानमात्रेण गंगायां संचिताघं विनश्यति
tithinakṣatraparvādi nāpekṣyaṃ jāhnavī jale | snānamātreṇa gaṃgāyāṃ saṃcitāghaṃ vinaśyati
在阇诃那毗(恒河)之水中,无须等待月日、星宿、节庆等;唯以恒河一浴,积聚之罪便消灭。
Skanda (deduced; Kāśī-khaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā)
Type: river
Listener: null
Scene: A pilgrim hesitates with a calendar/astrological chart, then discards it and steps into Gaṅgā; dark smoke-like sins dissolve in the water; Gaṅgā shines as a timeless purifier.
The Gaṅgā’s sanctity is presented as intrinsically purifying, independent of calendrical auspiciousness.
Jāhnavī/ Gaṅgā as a tīrtha—especially within the Kāśī sacred region.
Simple bathing in the Gaṅgā (snānamātra) is said to destroy accumulated sin, without requiring special tithi/nakṣatra/parva.
