गङ्गा तु सरितां श्रेष्ठा तथा चैव सरस्वती । कावेरी देविका चैव सिन्धुः सालकुटी तथा
gaṅgā tu saritāṃ śreṣṭhā tathā caiva sarasvatī | kāverī devikā caiva sindhuḥ sālakuṭī tathā
诸河之中，恒河（Gaṅgā）最为尊胜；同样圣洁的还有萨拉斯瓦蒂（Sarasvatī）、卡维里（Kāverī）、德维迦（Devikā）、信度河（Sindhu）以及萨拉库蒂（Sālakuṭī）。
