सनत्कुमारो यत्रास्ते मम पुत्रः परो मुनिः । प्रतीक्ष्यागमनं साक्षाद्भूतनाथस्य नंदिनः
sanatkumāro yatrāste mama putraḥ paro muniḥ | pratīkṣyāgamanaṃ sākṣādbhūtanāthasya naṃdinaḥ
“在那里,实然有善那特库玛罗(Sanatkumāra)——我之子、至上牟尼——安住其间,等待南迪(Nandin)亲自到来;南迪乃侍从之主,奉事众灵之主(Bhūtanātha,即湿婆)。”

It highlights the sanctity of satsanga and disciplined waiting for Shiva’s grace: the exalted sage Sanatkumara abides in steady readiness for Nandin, the foremost servant of Pati (Shiva), showing that proximity to Shiva is approached through humility, service, and receptivity.
Nandin represents Saguna Shiva’s accessible presence—Shiva’s divine retinue and the living channel of devotion. Honoring Nandi (often placed before the Linga) expresses alignment with Shiva’s will and prepares the devotee to receive the Lord’s darshana and instruction.
Adopt a posture of attentive waiting (pratīkṣā) before Shiva—such as quiet japa of the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” while facing Nandi and the Linga—cultivating steadiness, humility, and devotion as the inner preparation for Shiva’s guidance.
