It highlights that spiritual refinement can be expressed through mastery of sacred sound—when devotion and discipline mature, one becomes fit for higher association, which supports the soul’s movement toward Shiva-realization (Pati) beyond bondage (pāśa).
Though the verse speaks of music, it supports Saguna worship in practice: singing Shiva’s names and hymns is a direct limb of bhakti that purifies the mind, making Linga-worship more inward, steady, and contemplative.
Adopt nāma-kīrtana and śiva-stuti as a daily practice—chanting or singing with attention (bhāva) functions like nāda-yoga, preparing the mind for japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and focused Linga-dhyāna.
