在水安住之礼(jalādhivāsa)中,应将那圣绳置于仪式之床上,使其面向下伏。既安放于水壶(kumbha)之中,便以真言令其坚固安立于心,观想其内在临在与湿婆之神力合一。
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Ritual-technical instruction within pratiṣṭhā/saṃskāra context (jalādhivāsa, kumbha); not a site-specific legend.
Significance: Highlights the innerization of ritual: external placement in kumbha-water is paired with hṛd-sanniyoga (installing in the heart), teaching that true consecration culminates in interior devotion and Śiva-sannidhi.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: creative
It teaches that outer consecration (placing the sacred item in water and on the ritual bed) must be completed by inner consecration—installing it in the heart through mantra—so worship becomes inward, Shaiva, and liberation-oriented.
The verse reflects Saguna upāsanā: tangible ritual acts (kumbha, water-rite, mantra) are performed, yet their goal is to awaken the inner presence of Śiva—so the external Linga-oriented rite culminates in heart-centered contemplation of Pati.
Perform jalādhivāsa (water-immersion consecration) and kumbha placement with prescribed mantras, then do hṛdaya-nyāsa/inner installation—meditatively fixing Śiva’s presence in the heart while continuing mantra-japa (e.g., the Panchākṣarī).
