在主宰面前,对那些应当恭顺奉命者而言,连沉默本身也成了过失。此刻唯有这一句才合时宜:“在此应当奉行何种侍奉?”
Suta Goswami (narrating the puranic discourse in the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Significance: Frames proper comportment in darśana: active inquiry into service (kṛtya) is superior to inert silence when one stands before the Lord.
Role: teaching
It teaches that true devotion is not inert withdrawal but attentive surrender—standing before Shiva (Pati), the right response is readiness for dharma and seva, not negligent silence.
Before the Linga (Saguna focus for worship), the devotee’s posture is reverent engagement—asking what offering, japa, abhisheka, or service is appropriate—so worship becomes conscious participation rather than mere quiet presence.
Adopt “seva-bhāva” during puja: begin with sankalpa, then perform japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and a simple offering (water/abhisheka), keeping the mind alert to what is timely and fitting in worship.
