लिङ्गप्रतिष्ठा-माहात्म्यम् / The Greatness of Liṅga Installation

भूतानि चेन्द्रियैर्जाता लीयन्ते ऽत्र शिवाज्ञया । अत एव शिवो लिंगो लिंगमाज्ञापयेद्यतः

Transliteration

bhūtāni cendriyairjātā līyante 'tra śivājñayā | ata eva śivo liṃgo liṃgamājñāpayedyataḥ

Translation

众生连同其所依生的诸根，皆依湿婆之命令而于此归融消解。故湿婆名为“林伽”（Liṅga）——以其至尊法令，标识并统御整个世界。
