Suta Goswami (narrating the Vayu Samhita discourse to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
It frames Shiva as the supremely pure Parabrahman who answers sincere prayer, and as the ancient Puruṣa whose luminous presence dispels inner darkness—pointing to liberation through grace and right contemplation.
By describing the Supreme as radiant like the rising sun, the verse supports Saguna contemplation—Shiva approached through a tangible focus such as the Linga—while affirming that the reality behind that form is the highest Brahman.
A simple practice is prayerful dhyāna on Shiva as pure light (tejas) at dawn, mentally offering the request and then resting in remembrance; this pairs naturally with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) where applicable.
