द्वितीयतृतीयावरणपूजाक्रमः | The Sequence of the Second and Third Enclosure Worship (Āvaraṇa-pūjā)
राजसो दक्षिणे ब्रह्मा सृष्टिकृत्पूज्यते भवः । तामसः पश्चिमे चाग्निः पूज्यस्संहारको हरः
rājaso dakṣiṇe brahmā sṛṣṭikṛtpūjyate bhavaḥ | tāmasaḥ paścime cāgniḥ pūjyassaṃhārako haraḥ
在南方,罗阇斯(rājasa,创造之性)被尊奉为梵天(Brahmā),造化之主——应受礼拜的婆婆(Bhava)。在西方,昏暗性(tāmasa,消融之性)被尊奉为火神阿耆尼(Agni);应礼拜的哈罗(Hara),即施行毁灭的主。

It maps cosmic functions to directions and guṇas, teaching that creation (rajas) and dissolution (tamas) are governed by divine powers, ultimately rooted in Shiva as Bhava and Hara—guiding the devotee to see all processes as sacred and ordered.
It supports saguna worship by contemplating Shiva’s functional aspects—Bhava (manifesting as creative power) and Hara (as dissolving power). In Linga worship, these are understood as energies operating through the One Pati (Shiva), while the Linga signifies Shiva beyond the guṇas.
A simple practice is directional contemplation during puja: face south while offering mentally to the creative order (Brahmā principle) and face west while offering to the dissolutive fire (Agni principle), concluding with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to transcend rajas and tamas.
