Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya teaching to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Shakti Form: Gaurī
Role: liberating
Cosmic Event: Solar/Divākara principle as cosmic illumination (aṣṭamūrti mapping)
It teaches the Shaiva Siddhanta frame of Pati (Shiva) as the supreme Lord who, through His manifest power, presides within all beings and severs the soul’s bondage (pāśa), granting illumination and liberation.
By describing Īśāna/Divākara as a “mūrti” (manifest form) that pervades the heavens and illumines the cosmos, the verse supports Saguna worship—approaching Shiva through a perceivable form (including the Linga) while recognizing His indwelling lordship in all kṣetras.
Meditate on Īśāna as the inner ruler and cosmic illuminator, and pair it with japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a discipline aimed at cutting pāśas (bondages) such as ignorance and karmic limitation.
