It teaches that Śiva-bhakti can be practiced within dharma: devotion becomes steady when aligned with rightful guidance and consent, showing harmony between spiritual pursuit (Pati-bhakti) and social order.
By emphasizing devotion to Īśvara (Saguna Śiva approachable as the Lord), it supports householders engaging in Linga-worship and daily pūjā under proper dharmic authorization rather than in conflict with family responsibilities.
A practical takeaway is regular Shiva-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) performed with appropriate family consent and observance of dharmic conduct; this steadies bhakti and supports liberation-oriented living.
