Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights the Lord’s compassionate omniscience: he listens, reflects, and understands the true cause behind appearances—teaching devotees to seek the inner reason (kāraṇa) rather than be bound by surface events.
By portraying the Supreme as accessible through attentive engagement with devotees’ words, it supports Saguna devotion—approaching Shiva as the responsive Lord—while implying his deeper, all-knowing nature beyond form.
A practical takeaway is mindful inquiry (vicāra) with japa: repeat “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” while contemplating the cause of inner disturbances, offering them to Shiva with steadiness.
