风神说道:听闻母亲之言,真实无妄,且流露悲伤等情;即便那少年心中未起悔意,也仍大胆地如此说道。
Vāyu
Tattva Level: pashu
Significance: Highlights the psychological state of the bound soul (paśu): even when hearing truthful counsel colored by grief, one may remain anutāpahīna (without remorse) until grace or insight dawns.
It highlights how truth may be spoken with sorrow, yet the listener’s inner state (repentance or lack of it) determines the response—pointing to the Shaiva emphasis on transforming the inner mind (antaḥkaraṇa) toward purity and liberation.
Though not directly about the Liṅga, it prepares the narrative ground for Shaiva teaching: devotion to Saguna Shiva and Liṅga-worship disciplines the heart, softening arrogance and removing the hardness that makes one respond without remorse.
A practical takeaway is self-examination and japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to cultivate humility and inner repentance, supported by Shaiva purificatory observances like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and Rudrākṣa when appropriate.
