Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Emphasizes mānasa/ārādhana through accessible, rule-governed liṅga-upāsanā; merit accrues by aligning vrata and worship with prescribed materials and seasons.
Cosmic Event: Seasonal vrata-regimen keyed to Bhādrapada and Āśvina (cāturmāsya-adjacent ritual calendar context).
It teaches regulated, time-aligned devotion: worship of Śiva’s Saguna form as the Liṅga is harmonized with sacred months, cultivating steadiness (niyama) and receptivity to Śiva’s grace (anugraha).
It prescribes specific material embodiments of the Liṅga (ruby in Bhādrapada, gomedaka in Āśvina), emphasizing that Saguna worship uses consecrated forms and substances to focus bhakti while honoring Śiva as the supreme reality.
Perform month-specific Liṅga-pūjā with the prescribed Liṅga material, accompanied by mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and standard Shaiva upacāras such as abhiṣeka, bilva offering, and disciplined observances.
