Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva’s supreme nature in the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā discourse)
Tattva Level: pati

Shakti Form: Umā
Role: nurturing
It declares Shiva as Pati—the eternal, all-pervading Lord—who sustains and governs the cosmos without being bound or tainted by it, guiding the seeker toward liberation through knowledge of His transcendence.
Though Shiva is beyond all objects and impurities, devotees approach His immanence through Saguna worship—especially the Shiva Linga—recognizing it as a sacred support for meditating on the all-pervading Īśvara described here.
Meditate on Shiva as the inner ruler (Īśvara) who pervades all yet remains untouched; japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with vibhūti (Tripuṇḍra) and Rudrāksha supports this contemplation.
