Gajāsura’s Austerities and the Disturbance of the Worlds

被那股伟力灼烧,众达那婆(Dānavas)——连同因陀罗及诸天神——舍弃天界,前往梵天界(Brahmaloka)禀告此事;连大地也为之震颤。
Sūta Gosvāmi (narrating the Yuddhakhaṇḍa account to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Cosmic Event: earth trembles; devas abandon svarga for brahmaloka
It shows that when cosmic forces become overwhelming, even the gods must abandon pride and seek higher guidance; from a Śaiva Siddhānta lens, all beings are limited (paśu) and must turn toward the Supreme Lord (Pati) and right counsel to restore dharma.
The trembling of earth and the flight to Brahmaloka underline the need for a stable refuge—Saguna Śiva as the compassionate Lord worshiped through the Liṅga—who alone can pacify upheaval and re-establish order when celestial powers fail.
Cultivate śaraṇāgati (surrender) through japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa, praying for steadiness of mind when inner ‘earth’ trembles.
