此梵天灵伽(Brahma-Liṅga)即至上、寂静而绝对的帕拉梅湿伐罗(Parameśvara):为宇宙之生起、住持与坏灭之因;然其本体超越一切可对象化之境,唯可借名相之标记略作指示。

Significance: Meditation on the liṅga as ‘mere indicator’ (sajjñapti-mātra) trains the devotee to move from external emblem to the formless Parameśvara, yielding inner peace (śānti) and grace (anugraha).

The verse frames the Liṅga as a ‘designation’ or sign (liṅga) pointing to Shiva who transcends all forms; thus Saguna worship of the Liṅga becomes a doorway to realize Nirguna, the ‘kevala’ Parameśvara beyond conceptual limits.
Meditate on the Liṅga as the serene Parameśvara while repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), letting the mind move from the visible sign (liṅga) to the formless, peaceful Shiva it indicates.
