“大力臂的达那婆之主啊——请看,请看他就在此处!当行合宜、合乎正法之事。我们确非恶人。”他们说道。

Even in a war setting, the verse highlights “yukta” (proper, fitting action) as the measure of conduct—echoing the Shaiva emphasis that intention and right discernment shape karma and one’s spiritual trajectory under Pati (Śiva).
While the verse is not directly about Liṅga worship, it reflects a key Purāṇic theme: in the presence of conflict and passion, one should still choose what is “yukta,” aligning one’s actions with dharma—an attitude cultivated through devotion to Saguna Śiva and regular Shiva-pūjā.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate “yukta-buddhi” (discernment) through japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—before acting, so that decisions arise from steadiness rather than agitation.
