त्रिपुरदीक्षाविधानम् — Tripura Dīkṣā: Prescriptive Procedure
Chapter on the Ordinance of Initiation
सनत्कुमार उवाच । इत्युक्त्वा पाठयामास शास्त्रं मायामयं तथा । इहैव स्वर्गनरकप्रत्ययो नान्यथा पुनः
sanatkumāra uvāca | ityuktvā pāṭhayāmāsa śāstraṃ māyāmayaṃ tathā | ihaiva svarganarakapratyayo nānyathā punaḥ
善那特库玛罗说道:如是言毕,他便传授一部由摩耶所织成的经典。确然,天堂与地狱的体验就在此生此处决定,并非另有他途。
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It teaches that svarga (uplifted states) and naraka (tormented states) are not merely post-death locations but are experienced through karma and mental bondage here itself under Māyā; liberation in Shaiva Siddhanta comes by turning from Māyā toward Pati (Shiva).
By emphasizing Māyā’s power to produce pleasure and pain here and now, the verse supports Saguna Shiva worship (Linga, mantra, pūjā) as a practical means to purify karma and steady pratyaya (inner certainty) in Shiva, loosening Māyā’s grip.
Cultivate daily japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with disciplined conduct; use Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders to see worldly highs and lows as Māyā and to anchor awareness in Shiva.
