sudarśanaṃ śūlahastamāyāṃte dānaveśvaram | svatriśūlena vivyādha hṛdi taṃ vegato haraḥ
当强大的达那婆之王手持三叉戟、气势骇人地疾冲而来时,诃罗(湿婆)以自身三叉戟迅猛之力刺穿其心。
Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Tripurāntaka
Śiva striking the demon in the heart signifies the Lord (Pati) removing the core of adharma—ego, cruelty, and delusion—so that order and the possibility of liberation are restored.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva as the active, compassionate protector who intervenes in history; Linga-worship internalizes this truth by meditating on the same Lord as the indwelling reality who destroys inner impurities.
Contemplate Śiva’s triśūla as the power that cuts the three bonds (āṇava, karma, māyā) and repeat the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with heart-centered focus, offering fear and anger into Śiva’s protection.
