शिवस्य आश्वासनं हरि-ब्रह्मणोः तथा शङ्खचूडवृत्तान्तकथनम् / Śiva’s Reassurance to Hari and Brahmā; Account of Śaṅkhacūḍa’s Origin
शंखचूडस्य वृत्तांतं सर्वं जानामि तत्त्वतः । कृष्णभक्तस्य गोपस्य सुदाम्नश्च पुरा प्रभो
śaṃkhacūḍasya vṛttāṃtaṃ sarvaṃ jānāmi tattvataḥ | kṛṣṇabhaktasya gopasya sudāmnaśca purā prabho
主啊,我如实知晓商卡楚达的全部始末,也知晓古时苏达玛——那位虔敬克里希纳的牧牛人——的故事。
A narrator addressing a superior lord (contextually within Sūta’s narration in the Rudra Saṃhitā, Yuddhakhaṇḍa)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
It highlights tattvataḥ-jñāna—knowing events “as they truly are”—and frames the coming narrative as spiritually instructive, showing how devotion (bhakti) and right understanding shape destiny.
By addressing the Supreme Lord directly (“prabho”), the verse sets a devotional, saguna orientation: sacred history is recounted not as mere story, but as worshipful remembrance that supports Shiva-bhakti and reverence to the Lord’s manifest grace.
Śravaṇa and smaraṇa (listening and contemplative remembrance) of the Purāṇic episodes with devotion—ideally alongside japa of a Shiva-mantra such as the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
