देवस्तुतिः — Hymn of Praise by the Devas
Devastuti
भद्रसेनस्य तनयस्तथा मंत्रिसुतः प्रभो । सुधर्मशुभकर्माणौ सदा रुद्राक्षधारिणौ
bhadrasenasya tanayastathā maṃtrisutaḥ prabho | sudharmaśubhakarmāṇau sadā rudrākṣadhāriṇau
噢,主啊,还有跋陀罗塞那之子,以及大臣之子——苏达摩与善业(Śubhakarman)——他们常佩戴鲁陀罗叉念珠。
Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Rudra
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga passage; it introduces two exemplary devotees (Sudharma, Śubhakarman) characterized by constant rudrākṣa-dhāraṇa, a hallmark of Śaiva identity and discipline.
Significance: Affirms rudrākṣa as a portable ‘tīrtha’ of Śiva-bhakti: constant wearing signifies continual remembrance and eligibility for Śiva’s grace.
It identifies exemplary Shaiva devotees by their constant wearing of rudrākṣa, presenting devotion expressed through sacred Shaiva emblems as a steady, lived commitment to Śiva.
Rudrākṣa is a traditional Shaiva sign associated with Saguna Shiva worship; it supports daily remembrance and reverence of Śiva, commonly paired with Linga-pūjā and mantra-japa.
Regular wearing of rudrākṣa with disciplined japa—especially the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as an outward and inward aid to continuous Shiva-smaraṇa.
