देवस्तुतिः — Hymn of Praise by the Devas
Devastuti
सौमिनी नाम तनया कैकेयाग्रभुवस्तथा । तव भक्त्या सुखं प्राप परं सद्योगिदुर्लभम्
sauminī nāma tanayā kaikeyāgrabhuvastathā | tava bhaktyā sukhaṃ prāpa paraṃ sadyogidurlabham
同样,名为娑乌弥尼(Sauminī)的女儿——出自凯迦耶族(Kaikeya)最尊贵的支系——凭对你的奉爱而得至上安乐;此成就恒常难得,即便对成就的瑜伽行者亦然。
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: No jyotirliṅga linkage; emphasis is on the rarity of the attained bliss ‘even for yogins’, framing bhakti as a superior/upāya-by-grace.
Significance: General: inspires non-elite aspirants by asserting that Śiva-bhakti can grant what strenuous yoga finds difficult.
It teaches that Shiva’s grace accessed through bhakti can grant the highest bliss (para sukha) that even advanced yogins struggle to reach—highlighting devotion as a direct, Shiva-centered means to liberation.
The verse emphasizes personal devotion “to you” (Shiva), aligning with Saguna worship such as Linga-pūjā, where love, surrender, and reverence invite Shiva’s anugraha (grace) that culminates in transcendent joy.
The takeaway is steady Shiva-bhakti—regular Linga worship with the Panchākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offered with purity and humility—since devotion is presented as the decisive practice leading to the highest attainment.
