देवस्तुतिः (Devastuti) — Hymn/Praise of the Devas
सनत्कुमार उवाच । इति स्तुत्वा सुरास्सर्वे महादेवं वृषध्वजम् । स्तोत्रैर्नानाविधैदिंव्यैः शूलिनं परमेश्वरम्
sanatkumāra uvāca | iti stutvā surāssarve mahādevaṃ vṛṣadhvajam | stotrairnānāvidhaidiṃvyaiḥ śūlinaṃ parameśvaram
萨那特库玛罗说道:“如是赞颂了大天(Mahādeva)——牛为旗帜之主——之后,诸天众以种种天妙赞歌,齐声颂扬至上主、持三叉戟者(Śūlin)、至高自在天。”
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It highlights bhakti as a direct means of grace: even the devas approach Parameśvara through heartfelt stotra, acknowledging Śiva as the supreme refuge and Lord beyond all powers.
The verse emphasizes Saguna worship—praising Śiva by his sacred epithets (Mahādeva, Vṛṣadhvaja, Śūlin). In Shaiva practice, the same devotion is offered to the Śiva-liṅga as the accessible icon of Parameśvara.
Recitation of Śiva-stotras with focused reverence is implied; as a practical takeaway, one may combine stotra-pāṭha with pañcākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and simple liṅga-pūjā using bhasma or bilva leaves.
