Devas Go to Vaikuṇṭha and Praise Viṣṇu’s Avatāras
viṣṇuruvāca | jalaṃdhareṇa daityena kariṣyāmi parākramam | taissaṃstuto gamiṣyāmi yuddhāya tvaritānvitaḥ
Vishnu
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Vīrabhadra
It shows a deva acting with resolve against adharma; in a Shaiva reading, even great gods engage in cosmic duty, while final sovereignty belongs to Pati (Shiva), who alone subdues the root of demonic pride.
The battle-setting highlights that protection of dharma culminates in turning to Shiva’s Saguna grace (often symbolized by the Linga) as the ultimate refuge and regulator of cosmic order beyond mere martial prowess.
Adopt the inner stance of ‘tvarita’—promptness in dharma—by daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a disciplined resolve, offering the fruits of action to Shiva.
