The verse establishes dharma (vṛṣa) as the foundation for auspicious outcomes: a ruler grounded in right conduct becomes a fit vessel for divine grace and for events that unfold toward Shiva’s higher purpose.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the Shiva Purana often frames devotion to Saguna Shiva as flourishing in a dharmic society; the king’s righteousness is the supportive ground in which Shiva-oriented destinies (marriage, vows, worship) can manifest.
The implied takeaway is steadfast dharmic living alongside Shaiva devotion—daily remembrance of Shiva (e.g., japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to keep conduct pure and life auspicious.
