devyuvāca | vatsa te nirmalā bhaktirbhave bhavatu sarvadā | bhavaikapiṃgo netreṇa vāmena sphuṭitena ha
Devī (the Goddess, understood here as Pārvatī/Śakti in the Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa narrative)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It highlights nirmalā bhakti—pure, unmixed devotion—as the enduring means to receive Śiva’s anugraha (grace). In Shaiva Siddhānta terms, devotion ripens the soul (paśu) toward liberation by aligning it with Pati (Śiva).
Bhava is addressed as a personal, gracious Lord who bestows favor through His ‘glance.’ This supports Saguna worship—such as Liṅga-pūjā—where the devotee seeks Śiva’s tangible presence and blessing while progressing toward the highest realization.
Maintain steady bhakti through daily Śiva-pūjā and japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—while cultivating inner purity so the mind becomes fit for Śiva’s grace.
