The verse highlights vidhi—right order and sacred rite—as the foundation of dharmic life. In Shaiva understanding, cosmic harmony (ṛta) is sustained when actions, especially marriage and lineage, are aligned with sacred ordinance, ultimately supporting the world where Shiva’s grace and liberation can be pursued.
While not directly about the Liṅga, it frames the social and cosmic order in which Saguna Shiva is worshipped through prescribed duties (karma) and rites. The Shiva Purana often shows that dharmic conduct and proper ritual context purify the devotee, making Liṅga-worship fruitful and oriented toward Shiva’s anugraha (grace).
The key takeaway is adherence to vidhi (scriptural procedure). Practically, it suggests performing daily Shiva-oriented duties with correctness—such as simple Liṅga-pūjā with purity, offering water, and mentally repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” while maintaining dharmic discipline.
