It affirms that devoted worship of Saguna Śiva—Śambhu with Umā and Skanda—performed according to scriptural injunctions yields definite spiritual fruits, which the narrator will enumerate as received through the tradition.
The verse frames worship in a personal, manifest (Saguna) mode—Śiva with his divine family—implying that such bhakti-filled pūjā (often centered on the Liṅga as Śiva’s primary icon) leads to merit and grace.
It points to performing Śiva-pūjā with vidhi (regulated worship): offerings, mantra-recitation (commonly the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and devotional contemplation of Śiva together with Umā and Skanda.
