Lord Shiva (instructing Satī within the Satīkhaṇḍa narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It teaches that mantra-yukta bhakti—devotional worship supported by sacred mantra—leads to “sakalā vāpti,” complete spiritual fulfilment, because the mantra connects the devotee (paśu) to Śiva as Pati, the liberating Lord.
By urging worship of Śambhu “by this mantra,” the verse supports Saguna upāsanā—approaching Śiva in a worshipable form (often the Liṅga in Shiva Purana practice) through mantra, which steadies the mind and makes devotion effective.
Japa of the given mantra along with focused worship (pūjā) of Śambhu—ideally with steady remembrance and devotion—promising siddhi/attainment through disciplined mantra-recitation and heartfelt bhajana.
