“我唯以真知而可得;我是自我之知者,为已渡至奥义书吠檀多彼岸者所证悟。然无有智慧,心量狭小者徒劳求我。”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
Shiva declares that liberation-oriented realization is grounded in ātma-jñāna (Self-knowledge) taught by Vedānta; mere effort without inner awakening cannot culminate in true attainment of Pati (the Lord).
Liṅga worship supports concentration and purity, but Shiva here emphasizes that external approach must mature into inner knowledge—recognizing the same Shiva as the indwelling Self, beyond form (nirguṇa) even while approached in form (saguṇa).
Practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with contemplation on Shiva as the Self, supported by daily purification such as Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and steady meditation aimed at awakening jñāna.
