कृत्वोरौ दक्षिणे सव्यं चरणं चैव जानुनि । बाहुप्रकोष्ठाक्षमालं स्थितं सत्तर्कमुद्रया
kṛtvorau dakṣiṇe savyaṃ caraṇaṃ caiva jānuni | bāhuprakoṣṭhākṣamālaṃ sthitaṃ sattarkamudrayā
祂以左足安置于右腿之上,复以另一足置于膝间,安然端坐;前臂承托念珠玛拉,住于高贵的“塔尔卡印”(tarka-mudrā),显现正智之辨。

The verse portrays Śiva as the supreme Guru established in yogic steadiness and sattvic discernment—showing that liberation arises through disciplined meditation, japa, and right knowledge guided by divine grace.
By describing Śiva’s tangible meditative form (Saguna), the Purana gives devotees a concrete dhyāna-image to internalize during Linga worship—leading the mind from form-based devotion toward the realization of Śiva as the transcendent Pati.
Meditate on Śiva seated in a stable yogic posture while performing japa with a Rudrākṣa mālā, maintaining tarka (clear spiritual inquiry) alongside devotion—especially effective with the Panchākṣarī mantra, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
