Devas and Śiva’s Gaṇas Engage in Battle
अमंत्रौषधयस्सर्वे नाभिचारा न लौकिकाः । न कर्माणि न वेदाश्च न मीमांसाद्वयं तथा
amaṃtrauṣadhayassarve nābhicārā na laukikāḥ | na karmāṇi na vedāśca na mīmāṃsādvayaṃ tathā
一切依咒而成的药方与疗法皆归于无效;巫术与世间机巧亦不能奏功。祭仪之业不行,吠陀亦无能为力,连弥曼萨的两支学说也在彼处无所施展。

It teaches that the highest welfare—freedom from bondage—cannot be secured by worldly measures, occult acts, or mere ritual learning; it is fulfilled through Śiva-bhakti and the Lord’s anugraha (grace), aligning with the Shaiva view that Pati (Śiva) alone releases the soul from pāśa (bondage).
It underscores that external systems—ritualism, disputation, or technical exegesis—are secondary to sincere surrender to Śiva as the accessible Saguna Lord, often worshipped as the Liṅga, through whom grace descends and inner purity ripens into liberation.
Prioritize Śiva-upāsanā: japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), worship of the Liṅga with devotion, and inner detachment from mere technique—using rites as supports, not as substitutes for bhakti and grace.
