दक्षयज्ञे सत्या अपमानबोधः — Satī Encounters Disrespect at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
सत्युवाच । अनाहूतस्त्वया कस्माच्छंभुः परमशोभनः । येन पूतमिदं विश्वं समग्रं सचराचरम्
satyuvāca | anāhūtastvayā kasmācchaṃbhuḥ paramaśobhanaḥ | yena pūtamidaṃ viśvaṃ samagraṃ sacarācaram
萨蒂说:“为何你不邀请至辉至净的商婆(Śambhu)?正是他使这整个宇宙——圆满具足,含一切动与不动——得以净化而成圣。”
Satī
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
Satī affirms Śiva as Śambhu, the supreme sanctifier (Pati) whose grace purifies the whole cosmos; to disregard Him is to disregard the very source of auspiciousness and inner purification.
By calling Śiva “paramaśobhana” and the purifier of all, the verse supports Saguna devotion—honoring Śiva in worship (including Liṅga-pūjā) as the manifest, approachable Lord whose presence consecrates devotees and the world.
Maintain reverent inclusion of Śiva in all sacred acts: begin rites with Śiva-smaraṇa and japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and cultivate purity through devotion, humility, and remembrance of Śiva as the sanctifier.
