It highlights Śiva as the compassionate Pati (Lord) who, though established in His own supreme abode, responds through affectionate, personal (saguṇa) action—showing that divine grace is near to devotees and sages.
Śiva’s descent from the bull emphasizes His approachable saguṇa form—worshipped through icons like the Liṅga and through devotional remembrance—while still indicating His transcendence as Hara established in His own realm.
Meditate on Śiva with His gaṇas and Nandin while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”); offer bilva leaves or apply tripuṇḍra-bhasma with the intent of invoking His affectionate grace.
