It highlights that even the highest devas attain auspiciousness by returning to Śiva with humble devotion; closeness to Pati (Śiva) is gained not by rank but by bhakti and inner joy directed toward Him.
The devas’ act of ‘following Śiva again’ mirrors the devotee’s repeated turning toward Saguna Śiva—approaching Him through worship (including Liṅga-upāsanā) even after obstacles, maintaining steady devotion.
Repeated, joyful return to Shiva through bhakti—such as daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Liṅga-pūjā with a devotional attitude.
