The verse highlights a Shaiva ideal: outer beauty is paired with inner discipline—Sandhyā is portrayed as devoted to evening japa, indicating purity, self-restraint, and readiness for higher devotion to Pati (Shiva).
Sandhyā-japa at twilight is a foundational daily rite that supports Saguna Shiva worship—steady remembrance and mantra-recitation purify the mind, making one fit for Linga-upāsanā and focused bhakti.
Regular evening Sandhyā practice with mantra-japa (quiet repetition with attention and purity) is suggested; it can be integrated with Shaiva remembrance such as the Panchākṣarī—"Om Namaḥ Śivāya"—as a daily discipline.
