噢,婆罗门啊,我也因她的虔敬而心生欢喜,遂接受了那项提议。她已前往母亲的居所,而我来到此处,噢,毗提(Vidhe),万事的安排者。
Lord Shiva (narrating to Brahma)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It highlights that Shiva is moved by pure bhakti: devotion itself becomes the decisive cause for Shiva’s gracious acceptance, showing the Siddhānta theme that the Lord’s anugraha (grace) responds to sincere love and surrender.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s accessible compassion in narrative form—Shiva personally responds to a devotee’s love. Linga-worship similarly centers on offering devotion and receiving Shiva’s anugraha, even when the devotee’s outer circumstances are complex.
The takeaway is bhakti-sādhana: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a simple offering (water, bilva) to the Shiva Linga, focusing on heartfelt devotion as the primary practice.
