Satī at her father’s house: blessings and the onset of youth
naiṣkarmyeṇa sulabhyāya kaivalyapataye namaḥ | puruṣāya pareśāya namaste sarvadāya ca
Suta Goswami (narrating the hymn of praise within the Satī narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It praises Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord who grants both worldly good and kaivalya (final liberation), and teaches that inner freedom from doership (naiṣkarmya) makes Him readily attainable.
Though Shiva is beyond qualities, devotees approach Him through accessible Saguna worship—such as the Śiva-liṅga—because He is ‘sulabha’ (easy to reach) when devotion is joined with purity and surrender.
Practice japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a renounced attitude toward egoic doership, offering all actions to Shiva; this aligns with naiṣkarmya and supports meditation on Him as the giver of all and the bestower of liberation.
