It teaches that true welfare (śam) arises when one follows higher dharma and approaches Śiva without ego; as Pati (the Lord), Śiva bestows peace and auspiciousness when conduct aligns with divine counsel.
Brahmā’s assurance that “Śiva will bring auspiciousness” reflects the Shiva Purana emphasis that devotion to Saguna Śiva—often through Linga worship with reverence—removes inauspiciousness and grants śānti when performed with proper attitude.
The practical takeaway is obedience to dharmic instruction and reverent Śiva-upāsanā—such as daily remembrance of Śiva with the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga worship—done with humility to invite śam (peace).
