她们高呼胜利之声,依俗行诸吉祥事,如解开仪式之结等。她们含笑相顾、侧目传情,身起战栗、毛发竖立,欢喜踊跃——皆是至诚奉爱与神圣喜悦的征相。
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Significance: Demonstrates bhakti-lakṣaṇas (bodily signs of devotion) and maṅgala-ācāras as supportive means that soften bondage and orient the soul toward grace.
Type: stotra
It portrays the outward signs of inner bhakti—victory cries, auspicious rites, smiles, and gooseflesh—indicating that devotion to Śiva-Śakti naturally ripens into sacred joy and faith-filled celebration.
The verse emphasizes embodied, visible devotion—typical of Saguna worship—where reverence for Śiva’s manifest presence (often through the Liṅga and ritual observances) is expressed through auspicious acts and heartfelt emotional transformation.
It alludes to auspicious observances performed at sacred moments (e.g., ceremonial untying of knots) and encourages cultivating steady bhakti that can be supported by mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī) and attentive, reverent participation in Shaiva rites.
