Tattva Level: pashu
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It frames marriage as a dharmic act that sustains kula (lineage and social order) and aligns human duty with cosmic welfare—honoring both Pitṛs and Devas—thus preparing the sacred context for Pārvatī’s destined union with Lord Śiva.
In the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa narrative, the divine marriage culminates in devotion to Saguna Śiva—Śiva as the personal Lord who accepts relationship and grace—supporting householders’ dharma that traditionally includes Śiva-pūjā, often centered on the Śivaliṅga.
The verse emphasizes dharma and reverence to Pitṛs and Devas; a practical takeaway is to perform Śiva-pūjā (especially Liṅga-archana) alongside Pitṛ-tarpaṇa on appropriate days, and to steady the mind with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra: “oṃ namaḥ śivāya.”
