Indrajit–Lakshmana Battle and the Rallying of the Vanaras
स यन्तरिमहातेजाहतेमन्दोदरीसुतः ।स्वयंसारथ्यमकरोत्सुनश्चधनुरस्प ृशत् ।।।।
sa yantari mahātejā hate mandodarīsutaḥ | svayaṃ sārathyam akarot punaś ca dhanur aspṛśat ||
当他的御者被杀之后,那大威光的曼陀陀梨之子——因陀罗耆多——亲自执掌战车,又一次握起弓来。
When the charioteer got killed, the brilliant son of Mandodari, played the role of charioteer and wielded the bow again.
It highlights steadfastness in one’s chosen duty: even amid loss, Indrajit continues the responsibilities needed to sustain his side in battle. The verse illustrates resolve and competence, though not necessarily moral rightness of the cause.
Indrajit’s charioteer has been killed; Indrajit personally assumes the charioteer’s function and resumes archery.
