因陀罗吉杀了那女子后,对哈奴曼说:“看吧!罗摩的毗提希已被我怒中斩断。你们的辛劳尽成徒然。”
Indrajith killed that woman and said to Hanuman" see this Vaidehi, Rama's wife, cut up by my sword. Your exertion is useless now."
The verse demonstrates how adharma weaponizes untruth: Indrajit asserts a lie to break dharmic resolve; the Ramayana’s dharma framework treats satya as essential to rightful victory.
Indrajit addresses Hanumān immediately after the staged killing, claiming Sītā is dead and the vānaras’ mission is pointless.
Hanumān’s steadfastness is tested; the episode highlights the virtue of discernment—holding to truth and duty even amid shocking claims.
