सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तासां मध्यात्समुत्थाय त्रिजटा वाक्यमब्रवीत्।।।।आत्मानं खादत क्षिप्रं न सीता विनशिष्यति।जनकस्यात्मजा साध्वी स्नुषा दशरथस्य च।।।।
tāsāṁ madhyāt samutthāya trijaṭā vākyam abravīt | ātmānaṁ khādata kṣipraṁ na sītā vinaśiṣyati | janakasyātmajā sādhvī snuṣā daśarathasya ca ||
特里迦塔从她们中间起身说道:“若你们愿意,就快把我吃了吧——悉多不会毁灭。她是贤德的阇那迦之女,也是达沙罗陀的儿媳。”
"From the midst of all of them got up Trijata, saying, 'You eat me if you like. Know that Janaka's daughter is a chaste woman and is the daughter-in-law of Dasaratha. She cannot be destroyed'.
Speaking truth to restrain wrongdoing: Trijaṭā invokes Sītā’s virtue and rightful status to prevent unjust violence and to uphold moral order.
Trijaṭā confronts the other rākṣasīs who threaten Sītā, asserting that Sītā cannot be destroyed and daring them to punish her instead.
